General Terms, Purchases and Accounts
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Use apply when you:
- visit or use the Routine Lab website;
- subscribe to our communications;
- create a customer account;
- purchase, access, download, or use a Routine Lab product;
- participate in a live program, guided cohort, support space, or community; or
- otherwise interact with our products and services.
By using the website, creating an account, or purchasing or using an Offer, you agree to these Terms.
An Offer means any digital product, live program, guided experience, service, bundle, membership, or other item made available by Routine Lab.
Your purchase or use may also be governed by:
- an Offer-specific agreement accepted during checkout;
- our Refund, Cancellation & Digital Delivery Policy;
- our Privacy Policy; and
- any participation guidelines presented for a live program, support space, or community.
These documents form part of your agreement with Routine Lab where they apply.
Routine Lab’s Offers are intended primarily for adults. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may only purchase or use an Offer with permission from a parent or legal guardian who can accept these Terms on your behalf.
2. Products, Programs and Services
Routine Lab provides digital and online products and services, which may include:
- downloadable PDFs, workbooks, protocols, templates, and toolkits;
- self-guided educational products;
- live cohorts, workshops, or guided programs;
- online support or community spaces;
- live calls, check-ins, and implementation support; and
- related digital resources and communications.
The contents, format, delivery method, access period, support level, schedule, and price of each Offer will be described on the applicable sales page, checkout page, or Offer Agreement.
Some Offers may combine permanent or longer-term access to digital materials with temporary access to live sessions, support, or community spaces.
Routine Lab may use different platforms or delivery methods over time. A change in platform does not change the substance of your purchase, provided that reasonable access to the purchased materials or services continues to be supplied.
3. Purchases and Offer-Specific Terms
When purchasing an Offer, you agree to provide accurate and complete checkout information and to pay the price displayed at checkout.
The applicable checkout page will identify the payment structure, which may include:
- a one-time payment;
- an instalment or payment plan; or
- another payment arrangement expressly disclosed before purchase.
Prices and Offer availability may change for future purchases. Changes do not alter the price of a purchase already completed.
Some Offers have additional terms covering matters such as:
- scheduled access dates;
- live-session dates;
- attendance requirements;
- cancellation deadlines;
- support boundaries;
- community access periods;
- transfers or rescheduling; and
- consequences of late cancellation or non-attendance.
Where an Offer-specific agreement applies, it supplements these Terms.
If an Offer-specific agreement directly conflicts with these Terms, the Offer-specific agreement will apply to that Offer to the extent of the conflict. Nothing in either document excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Customer Accounts and Access
Access to an Offer may require a customer account through Kajabi or another delivery platform.
You are responsible for:
- providing an accurate name and email address;
- maintaining access to the email address used at checkout;
- creating and protecting your password;
- keeping your login details confidential;
- maintaining reasonable backups of downloadable materials; and
- notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Your account and Offer access are for your personal use only.
You must not:
- share your password or account access;
- allow another person to use your customer account;
- sell, transfer, or sublicense your access;
- attempt to access an Offer you have not purchased or been granted; or
- bypass access controls or platform restrictions.
Routine Lab is not responsible for access problems caused by inaccurate information supplied at checkout, loss of access to your email account, or failure to maintain your login details. We will provide reasonable assistance where an access problem can be verified and resolved.
Product Licence, Intellectual Property and Participation
5. Licence and Permitted Use
When you purchase or are granted access to a Routine Lab digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use that product for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Subject to these Terms, you may:
- access and download the materials for personal use;
- print reasonable copies for your own use;
- reprint personal-use worksheets when needed;
- write in, annotate, and complete the materials;
- enter your own information into fillable fields; and
- retain permitted personal-use copies.
You must not, without prior written permission:
- share, distribute, upload, publish, or transmit the files;
- give copies or account access to another person;
- resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the materials;
- use the materials with clients, customers, employees, students, teams, classrooms, communities, or organisations;
- incorporate the materials into a paid or unpaid program delivered to others;
- remove copyright notices, branding, watermarks, or attribution;
- translate, adapt, reproduce, or modify the underlying product for redistribution;
- create or sell a competing or derivative product based substantially on the materials;
- upload the materials to file-sharing, template, document, or marketplace websites; or
- use the materials to train, fine-tune, or populate an artificial-intelligence model or commercial content-generation system.
Completing or annotating a workbook for your own personal use is permitted and is not treated as prohibited modification.
For commercial, team, organisational, facilitator, classroom, or redistribution rights, contact [email protected]
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Routine Lab owns or lawfully licenses all rights in its website and materials, including:
- written content;
- product frameworks and systems;
- protocols and instructional methods;
- worksheets, templates, trackers, and tools;
- product names and program structures;
- graphics, illustrations, layouts, and visual assets;
- logos, branding, and design elements;
- videos, recordings, and presentations; and
- website and marketing content.
Purchasing an Offer does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property. You receive only the limited right to use the Offer as described in these Terms.
No Routine Lab content may be copied, republished, distributed, publicly displayed, commercially exploited, or used to create another product or service unless we have provided written permission or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
7. Live Programs, Support Spaces and Community Participation
Live programs, cohorts, support spaces, and communities are intended to provide structured implementation, shared participation, and bounded support.
When participating, you agree to:
- communicate respectfully;
- follow reasonable facilitator instructions;
- avoid harassment, threats, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive conduct;
- avoid spam, unsolicited promotion, and irrelevant commercial activity;
- respect the privacy and confidentiality of other participants;
- avoid presenting yourself as a Routine Lab representative;
- avoid disrupting calls, discussions, or group activities; and
- use participant information only for the purpose for which it was shared.
You must not record, copy, screenshot, reproduce, or distribute live calls, community discussions, participant contributions, or cohort materials without prior permission.
Routine Lab may record a live session for replay or internal operational purposes where participants have been informed that recording will occur. Any broader promotional use of an identifiable participant’s name, image, voice, story, or contribution will require separate permission.
Do not share unnecessary sensitive, medical, financial, or highly personal information in a group environment. While participants are required to respect confidentiality, Routine Lab cannot guarantee that every participant will comply.
Attendance requirements, call schedules, community-access periods, and support boundaries may be established in the applicable Offer Agreement.
8. Your Content and Feedback
You retain ownership of original content you submit, such as:
- completed personal answers;
- community posts;
- questions;
- comments;
- personal reflections; and
- feedback.
When you submit content through a Routine Lab platform or community, you give Routine Lab a limited permission to host, store, display, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant product, support space, or service.
You must not submit content that:
- infringes another person’s rights;
- is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or threatening;
- contains malware or harmful code;
- contains confidential information you are not entitled to disclose; or
- violates these Terms or applicable community rules.
Routine Lab may use general feedback and suggestions to improve its products and services. We will not publicly use your name, image, identifiable story, testimonial, or private communications for marketing without appropriate permission.
9. Educational Purpose and Results
Routine Lab products and services are provided for educational and informational purposes.
They are not:
- medical advice;
- mental-health or psychological treatment;
- diagnosis or therapy;
- legal advice;
- financial advice; or
- a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Routine Lab products may address habits, attention, focus, routines, screen use, and behaviour change. They are not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition.
You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use the materials in your own circumstances.
Results depend on factors including participation, implementation, circumstances, and individual differences. Routine Lab does not guarantee:
- a specific behavioural outcome;
- a particular reduction in screen time;
- completion of any project or activity;
- financial, professional, health, or personal results; or
- permanent behavioural change.
Examples, testimonials, and participant experiences are illustrative and do not guarantee that another customer will achieve the same result.
Website, Platforms, Refunds and Availability
10. Website and Platform Use
You may use the Routine Lab website and its connected platforms only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- attempt to damage, disable, overload, or disrupt the website or platform;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, products, systems, or data;
- introduce malware, malicious code, or harmful material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with Routine Lab;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data except where expressly permitted or legally protected;
- interfere with security, authentication, access controls, or technical restrictions;
- use the website to violate another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, or legal rights; or
- use Routine Lab systems to distribute spam, fraud, or unlawful content.
Routine Lab may take proportionate measures to protect its website, customers, products, and systems from misuse or security threats.
11. Third-Party Platforms and Services
Routine Lab may use third-party services to operate the business and deliver Offers, including services for:
- website hosting;
- checkout and payment processing;
- customer accounts and product delivery;
- email communications;
- live video calls;
- community access;
- analytics; and
- technical support.
These services may include platforms such as Kajabi, payment processors, video-conferencing providers, and email or analytics services.
Your use of a third-party platform may also be subject to that provider’s own terms, privacy policy, technical requirements, and acceptable-use rules.
Routine Lab does not control every aspect of a third-party service and cannot guarantee that any external platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available.
Where a third-party interruption affects a purchased Offer, Routine Lab will take reasonable steps to:
- restore access;
- provide an alternative delivery method;
- reschedule an affected service; or
- provide another appropriate remedy where required.
12. Refunds, Cancellations and Consumer Rights
Refunds, cancellations, digital delivery, access problems, and related remedies are governed by:
- our Refund, Cancellation & Digital Delivery Policy; and
- any Offer-specific agreement accepted during checkout.
Routine Lab does not generally provide refunds because a customer changes their mind, except where an applicable Offer Agreement expressly provides a cancellation period.
Nothing in these Terms or another Routine Lab policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
For Australian consumers, this includes applicable rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
Suspension, Liability and Legal Administration
13. Suspension, Removal and Changes to Access
Routine Lab may suspend, restrict, or remove access where reasonably necessary because of:
- a material breach of these Terms;
- unauthorised sharing or distribution;
- non-payment, reversed payment, or fraudulent payment activity;
- serious or repeated misconduct;
- harassment or disruption within a live or community environment;
- a security risk;
- unlawful activity; or
- misuse of Routine Lab intellectual property or systems.
Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue before access is removed. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect participants, intellectual property, security, or legal compliance.
Removal resulting from a customer’s material breach does not automatically create a right to a refund, credit, transfer, or replacement service. Any remedy will remain subject to the applicable Offer Agreement, Refund Policy, and consumer protection laws.
Routine Lab may:
- maintain and update its website;
- revise or improve product materials;
- change the platform or method used to deliver an Offer;
- discontinue an Offer for future purchase;
- conduct scheduled or emergency maintenance; and
- make reasonable operational changes to a service.
We will not intentionally remove or materially reduce a purchased entitlement without providing reasonable replacement access or another appropriate remedy where required.
Where an Offer specifies a defined access period, access may end at the conclusion of that period.
14. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Routine Lab is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from:
- use of the materials outside their stated educational purpose;
- failure to follow instructions or technical requirements;
- reliance on the materials as professional advice;
- unauthorised account sharing;
- customer-supplied information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- third-party systems outside Routine Lab’s reasonable control;
- temporary interruptions that are reasonably corrected; or
- indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
Routine Lab does not guarantee uninterrupted access to every website, platform, community, or live-service tool.
Where Routine Lab is legally responsible for a failure, the remedy available will depend on the nature of the product or service, the extent of the failure, the parts already supplied, and the rights available under applicable law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and any contract between you and Routine Lab are governed by the laws in force in Victoria, Australia, including applicable Commonwealth laws.
You and Routine Lab submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia, and any courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any mandatory rights, remedies, or consumer protections that apply to you under the laws of another jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms and Contact
Routine Lab may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this page.
The updated version applies to future use of the website and future purchases from the date shown at the top of the page.
The terms governing an existing purchase will generally be the version in effect when that purchase was completed, together with any Offer-specific agreement accepted at checkout. A later update will not retrospectively remove a material right already included in a completed purchase.
